Nuclear Systems Engineer

Within the Thermal Hydraulics team, Radwan focuses on plant and systems modelling, normal operation and accidental transient analyses, and heat exchanger design.

Radwan graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (France) with a Master’s in Energy Physics, and completed an MPhil in Nuclear Energy at the University of Cambridge where he won the Lewins Prize. He carried out research projects in nuclear fusion, first in plasma physics at CEA Cadarache (France), then on tritium monitoring technologies in collaboration with the UKAEA Culham Centre for Fusion Energy (CCFE). Prior to joining Cambridge Atomworks, he worked for Framatome in Paris as a Thermal Hydraulics engineer, where he performed safety case analyses for EPR reactors and gained experience in the French nuclear industry standards.
