NEISA Conference, Kigali, Rwanda 2026

Last week, Cambridge Atomworks was honoured to return to NEISA in Kigali for the second year running to exhibit and participate. This year was another great success, and it was clear that Africa's nuclear energy journey has shifted from ambition to action.

We were pleased to contribute to the summit as our CTO, Eugene Shwageraus, gave an update on the development of our ODIN micro-reactor in the Technology Showcase session and presented the ODIN technology during the exhibition tour, directly to the heads of state, Lassina Zerbo, and IAEA Director General Grossi.

Our CEO, Ian Farnan, also participated in discussions with global leaders and partners as we continue building pathways for delivering our micro-reactor technology across the globe.

Our Business Development Manager, Chira Zerbo, teamed up with the Rwanda Atomic Energy Board (RAEB) and partners to strengthen the youth programme, co-designing and delivering a highly successful policy simulation session that gave young Africans a hands-on experience of nuclear energy policy making.

Being part of NEISA since its first edition in 2025 has been a privilege. Watching the summit grow in scale, ambition and impact in just one year is a testament to the extraordinary leadership driving Africa's nuclear future forward.
We look forward to returning to NEISA in 2027, Lomé, Togo.
