Dr Kiran Nutter obtained his MSci degree in Physics from the University of Birmingham before undertaking and completing his PhD within the Nuclear Physics group at the University of Birmingham. His PhD research was focused on medical applications of nuclear physics, and in particular, how photon imaging could be used in novel ways to enhance medical treatments. During his PhD, Kiran carried out simulation studies, both for radiation transport and fluid dynamics, and designed and executed a variety of experiments. Upon completion of his PhD, Kiran joined Cambridge Atomworks as a nuclear engineer, where he will initially work across teams and disciplines, to contribute effectively to the ODIN design with his multidisciplinary background.
