After earning a BSc in Physics from the University of Leeds, Jake completed a Masters degree in Nuclear Energy at the University of Cambridge. He then briefly researched reactor physics and shutdown systems for high-temperature gas reactors. Before joining Cambridge AtomWorks/NANO, Jake worked in the nuclear maritime industry where he specialised in the modeling and simulation of Molten Chloride Fast Reactors and their systems. Now, he focuses on shielding calculations and core optimisation to support the development of ODIN.
